Holiday Gift Guides: MAZE in La Cucina Italiana

We were so excited today when we received a call from a lovely lady in Loredo, Texas, looking for the Quality Cuts Placemats we carry here at MAZE. She'd seen them in La Cucina Italiana's Holiday Gift Guide (December 2010), with MAZE listed as the retailer. We knew the guide would include us, we just weren't sure of the publication date.
We love that she's from Texas and she's looking for the cow version of the placemat!

. . . the holiday gift season!
We received a shipment of six pallets today, including 47 boxes of items perfect for gifts - for your loved ones, yourself and your home!
We filled the sidewalk and it took a team of five to get everything inside the already bursting-at-the-seams store. The back (shipping) room was already loaded and now the hallway, coat closet and office are packed!

Wow, this is turning out to be a really a-MAZE-ing week! As you know, Lars Bolander will be here on Thursday, October 14, signing his new book, Scandinavian Design. He's wonderful and I hope you can come by the store to meet him. You can see photos of Lars with Martha Stewart and other celebs at his book launch party and of his Palm Beach home in this Wall Street Journal article.

Lars Bolander's Scandinavian Design: Book Signing and Giveaway

I am so honored (and excited!) that Palm Beach and New York-based Swedish designer Lars Bolander will be signing his new book, Scandinavian Design, at MAZE Home Store on Thursday, October 14 from 10 to 5.

Meredith Merrill Trunk Show: Thank You!

A big thank you to family and friends, old and new, who came out for the Meredith Merrill jewelry trunk show last Thursday!
It was a beautiful fall evening, the jewelry was sparkling and there was a bit of the 'old home week' vibe with people running into friends they hadn't seen since high school!
And I promise you, Meredith and I did not plan our matching 'jewel toned' dresses!

For the past several years, I have been honored to attend the American Friends of Versailles' Bal de Versailles. The event raises funds for the restoration of the buildings and grounds of Versailles and includes events at the palace and throughout Paris. Look at that golden sunset on the palace marble. The light here really is different!
