Trunk Show: Cotten & Thorne
Last night I was honored to host MAZE Home Store's trunk show featuring Lisa Cotten and Aubrey Thorne. Take a peek at some photos from the evening.
The show officially launched Lisa's new line of reversible leather belts and gorgeous, interchangeable buckles. In fact, the line is so new that her shipment from Italy was stuck in customs! Luckily she had samples of all the pieces and swatches of the magnificent leather colors. I bought a reversible one in Turchese and Caffe (turquoise and coffee). Absolutely delicious! The crowd favorite on colors was Geko, a neutral taupe-y color with a slightly pebbly metallic sheen. Really you could wear it with anything.
Give us a call at the store next week and with any luck we'll have the genuine articles available for purchase.
I was so excited to introduce Aubrey Thorne Custom Shirts to Chicago-land! First of all because the shirts, fabrics and custom details are exquisite and I knew my clientele would love them, but mainly because Aubrey is my beautiful little sister! It was so fun to have her here at the store and show off her and her great shirts to my friends.
The above-the-knee Henley pullover was by far the hit of the evening. It's so versatile -- belted, unbelted, dressed up, dressed down -- and it's slightly fitted throughout for a slimming profile. So chic!
Aubrey's a genius with fitting. She hand-selects the fabrics from the finest purveyors in Italy, Switzerland and Japan, and her knowledge and oversight of the tailoring process are beyond compare.
The icing on the cake? The shirts are made here in the US to ensure the utmost level of quality control.
I bought a blue one. I feel so patriotic.
