I am so honored (and excited!) that Palm Beach and New York-based Swedish designer Lars Bolander will be signing his new book, Scandinavian Design, at MAZE Home Store on Thursday, October 14 from 10 to 5.

This is Lars' only scheduled book tour appearance in the Chicago area so don't miss it!

As you may have gathered, I never stop thinking about my design projects and I shop for special pieces, ideas and inspiration wherever I go. Lars' store in Palm Beach has long been my go-to place for interior design when I'm down there. I literally haunt his shop! I love his windows, his merchandising, his products.

So when I met Lars through my aunt who lives in Palm Beach, I had to control my desire to regale him with stories of my love for his store and his design work for fear of looking like a nit!

To say I was thrilled is an understatement, yet to find that he is such a charming, funny, down-to-earth man made my heart sing. Though quintessentially Palm Beach, cultured and worldly, he really is a hoot!

I'm so happy to have this opportunity to support someone I've always considered larger than life and I'm looking forward to hosting Lars and his wife, Nadine Kalachnikoff, while they are in Winnetka next week.
